Safeguard your laptop or PC with McAfee VirusScan Plus 2009

Advantages: Rates sites as safe (green), potentially unsafe (yellow, and red) before you click on them
Disadvantages: Can only protect 1 PC

When I bought my laptop it came with a 60-day trial version of McAfee VirusScan Plus 2009. Since I use limewire, my laptop is very vulnerable to malicious mp3 files that I download from the site. Good thing, I activated my trial version the very first time I used my laptop. Whenever I downloaded those malicious files that contain trojans, McAfee kicks it out right away. My husband used to use AVG free antivirus in his pc but he got dissatisfied with it so he decided to purchase McAfee VirusScan Plus 2009 3 User which cost a little bit more than the 1 user version. Also if you register your product online you get free updates for one year. McAfee does not only cover your PC, it also extends its protection to your printer and network connection. Whenever an intruder connects to your internet connection, McAfee prompts you. When ...

Viva La Vista

Advantages: Tight security new entertaining games, Fast search
Disadvantages: annoying when it always asks you if it should proceed into opening programmes

Before you even read further you need to know that Vista is the most amazing software that Microsoft has ever published. It is just amazing and after you finish reading the review you must think the same as well. I actually learnt about Vista before it was published in the shops because I work in one of the biggest electronic shops (I won't say which one), so basically they wanted me to know all about Vista in case if the customers came in and asked me. I got windows Vista with my new Advent Laptop which I bought in September 2007. My Laptop did come with Windows Vista Premium because it has a 2GB which is the best memory on RAM you should mainly have when you want Windows Vista Home Premium on you computer or laptop. You computer or laptop will still come with Windows Vista Home premium when it has 1GB of RAM. I don't know if you ...

Vista

Advantages: Good Graphics,Vista Sidebar, IE7, MSN Live
Disadvantages: Menu not as user-friendly as XP, Expensive

I got Windows Vista about a year ago now when I had my laptop changed after a serious of breakdowns - Vista was not by my choice, more from the fact that the sales adviser in PC World had obviously spent the best part of an evening practicing his speech on how brilliant it was in comparison to my previous version of XP. At first the software confused me, it's quit different and some of the functions are a bit odd, such as the way in which the Start Menu is laid out - i.e. folders that open in the same panel, rather than the old-fashioned mouse-hover to reveal another pane. Another thing I don't like about it is there is no "Run" button as you open the Start Menu anymore, I find myself having to search for it all the time! The upside is that the My Documents and Control Panel options are still easily accessible, but that doesn't excuse ...
