Those of you who have played it. Who hasnt been addicted? I bought this game about 4years ago and every summer get adicted to playing it. Whether its being the best team in the world even if i am zimbawe of wheter its brining up Ian Bells 100th Century this game is still very addictive.

Another great feature is the option of playing historical scenarios from the Ashes to the World Cup. My favourite feature has got to be the playing in the famous sceario of the 1948 england v Australia with Don Bradman and Jim laker head to head.
The World Cup 2003. (dont know how they got that to occur) is playable again, where you choose any of the World Cup countries, and lead them to victory. The hardest challege is leading Zimbawe that way. Often failing with Australia taking the glory.

The game itself is fairly complex - and you need a good cricket brain to succeed. You can organise your finances and determine your focus on your buying potential, physios and coahes. As well as looking at youth team players. There are some great players that appear in 2018. By the way the game last until 2030. This is 28years of games!
You can allocate certain training regimes to people, from net practise to technique - and often you won't have enough training regimes for every person, so you need to choose wisely.
Its a very statistical game. Each player has batting and bowling averages, 50's, 100's, career records and plenty more. The counties also have their statistics including founding date, partnership records. All of which is very intresting.
When you play the game you have lots of control over what you see - you can choose to see individual runs, fours and plus, or none - You can view ball by ball, or if you are in a rush you can just view the wickets.
You can also choose the field positions of each player, where you bowl the ball, whether you bowl round the wicket or not, etc.
The animation when you view the players playing is more or less a top-down view, and the graphics aren't brilliant but they are fine. Its like the new championship manager but instead of 2d dots they have proper people.
Commentary is provided by Jonathan Agnew, and it is accurate and appropriate.
Weather and light affects the game, and each cricket match is very realistic - although they can be very long, and tedious.

I suggest anyone you know who likes cricket or yourself buys this game. The price is very reasonable about 5-10 pounds in 2004. This is the championship manager of cricket and is a truely superb game for all you cricket lovers out there.

ICC is a game that I fear only cricket fans will enjoy. ICC is a team-management game, and not one where you are the cricketer, it's like the Championship Manager equivalent of Cricket.
Cricket is associated with being very boring, very English, and only the posh and old people watch it - this is not true, and although cricket can be very long yes, it also can be very exciting, and this game typifies that.
You have the option of captaining any ... ...etc, and also the option of captaining a national team. You can opt to manage a county team, and if you are successful, you may after time be offered the England job.

...duck with the hugely successful International Cricket Captain 2 , which masterfully overcame the universal failing of previous offerings - the feeling of never being in control of the action - by giving gamers strategic command as captain, rather than hands-on control as an individual bowler or batsman. A year later, that formula has been closely revisited, with feelings of deja vu being solidified by the return of Jonathan Agnew as commentator and ... ...little has changed graphically, with the in-game action being depicted adequately rather than with flair. Although purists and statisticians would argue that visuals are secondary to the strategy, moments of outrageous fielding (catches by players with their back to the action and inertia-defying wicket keepers) serve only to detract from the otherwise authentic atmosphere. As in the prequel, the captaincy assumes Championship Manager-like proportions ...

...International Cricket Captain returns bigger and better this year with options wide open unlike before.
At the start of the game you choose any county from the new two division county championship captain them two success and that England call up is not far away. Once you have tasted success with the county in all major 1 and 4 day matches.You could captain England and succeed or will you be a Micheal Atherton and Fail. This Game is a must for Cricket ...

I downloaded a demo version of this game from the internet and enjoyed it so much that I had to buy the full version. The game is great and you get 3 different ways of playing it. You can choose to manage a county club, a world team, or just play the world cup. I usually play by selecting surrey. They take part in the super cup, the natwest trophy, the county championships and the 2nd division league. You start the game with the oppurtunity to sign ... ...11 from the 25(or more depending on how many players you've signed) and play the game. You can control the field placing, who bowls, how they bowl it and how aggressive they bowl, how aggressive they bat and also the highlight level so you dont have to watch the whole match if you dont want to. Overall its a great game for any age group. ...
