International Track & Field 2000 (PlayStation)

The object of this game is fairly straightforward: run fast, jump far, and throw stuff in events like the; 100m Dash, 110m Hurdles, Javelin Throw, Long Jump, and Pole Vault. Unlike previous track and field games, ESPN IT&F adds non-track events as well, including the Horizontal Bar (male gymnastics), Trap Shooting, Weightlifting, 100m Freestyle (women's swimming), and Rhythm Gymnastics. International Track and Field 2 is a game based on timing and very strong fingers and thumbs.With the addition of new evenets such as cycling and diving, this is a new spangly version of the original. With smooth graphics and and fancy moves, International Track and Field 2 is definitly a champion. Even if you are not a fan of athletics you will still love this game, with its lifelike graphics and its everlasting gameplay its sure to tickle your fancy. You can choose from a veriety of nationalities and compete against others in over 12 events. The best feature of this game has to be its multiplayer capabilities as this title really is one you must challenge your mates to. I enjoyed the first track & field so I thought the new track and field would be really different and have new exciting events in but a lot of them were the same as the old one! They haven’t really changed the old events but put a few extras in like cycling and swimming in it! But if you have the 1st one my advice is not to bother buying this game because it isn’t worth it. International Track and Field is a great game to play on your own and even better with four of your mates using a multitap. There is a great selection of events including 100m sprint to triple, long and high jump. There are 11 events in total. Ok it’s quite an old game and the newer version has come out but this is a good game never the less.
