A good and useful introduction

Advantages: Good essays, well organised
Disadvantages: Some more exegetical emphasis would be helpful

True to the overall ecumenical spirit of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), this introduction to the New Testament, while written and edited by scholars affiliated with the CC(Doc), is broadly accessible and wide ranging in its approach to the scriptures of the New Testament. The scholars included in this volume bring long experience in teaching and church work to the task of understanding and explaining the different parts of the New Testament. According to the editor, Dennis Smith, this text is primarily meant to be of service to pastors, seminary students and instructors, and interested laypersons. While the language of the essays included here is not complicated or jargon-heavy, some basic familiarity with the biblical text is assumed. This introduction is different from many, as most introductions to the New Testament ...

Business Information Systems

Advantages: A course that should lead to a good career
Disadvantages: Lack of support from the Business School

I started this course in 1996 and chose it because I believe that computers are the career of the future, but I wanted to combine learning about computers with softer management skills. But I suppose that this was to be expected, being a computing course! The business school is reasonably well equipped with up to date computers, and there is a 24 hour lab which could get very crowded, even at three in the morning, at the end of the semester. Although I did not particularly enjoy the course I believe that this was because I didn't choose wisely in the first place. I would ...

Best Travel System but for how long?

Advantages: all in one solution
Disadvantages: Heavy and large when folded

We bought the Graco Quattro Tour Travel System after looking at everything on the market comparing costs, accessories, weight etc. This travel system was for my first child so I had no previous experience to help me. The whole concept of the travel system is revolutionary; my mom was so impressed. Having the car seat/infant carrier which effectively turns the buggy into a pram and also means that your baby who has fallen asleep in the car can be effortlessly moved into the buggy, is a marvelous invention! We bought the Graco fro Babies R Us in January 2005 for £190. It came with an auto base, weather shield, foot muff and changing bag (the only thing I have had to buy additionally is a parasol). The autobase is a brilliant idea. You fix it in the car once and the infant carrier just clicks in place. No messing around ...
