Disadvantages Expensive
Investor's Chronicle is a very long established financial weekly-it was founded back in 1861-and is owned by the highly regarded Financial Times group. It has a circulation of around 50,000 and offers very authoritative and unbiased investment information and advice and a lot more besides.
They publish a comprehensive news section which will keep people interested in financial and share markets up-to-date and potential investors can learn a great deal both about large FT 100 companies as well as smaller companies. They also publish a lot of extremely interesting features on diverse subjects and every year the magazine publishes about 40 surveys. These too are on wide ranging topics. I read a most interesting surveys on charities-it listed the top 50,their rationale, annual income, and how they compared. Another excellent survey was on Greater Manchester. This featured details of major firms in the area, prospects, issues and problems, and looked at the various places in the area such as Salford, Stockport and Manchester.
I should add this magazine does not confine itself only to the UK but has goodcoverage of Europe as well and gives readers information on technology,bio-tech,auto and other companies in the European Union. They also have an excellent web site - http://www.investorschronicle.ft.com/Although it is rather expensive - the cover price is 3.25 pounds-this is undeniably a superb publication- it is easy to read, has high editorial standards and is highly reliable. What more could you really ask for !
