Iomega REV ATAPI Backup Kit

Advantages: Fast Backup, Nice and Compact, Very Easy To Use
Disadvantages: Limited backup capabilities, bundled software is terrible

Advantages: faster and larger than floppy disks, also the drive is portable
Disadvantages: May not work with some scanners

...I purchased this zip drive in a starter kit; it came with some coloured zip disks and some software. I had a couple of problems with it when I got it, The manual was for a Zip 250, but after contacting Iomega they stated that it was the same manual now. Also my scanner would not work with the zip drive, the only way I could get the scanner to work was to purchase a newer USB scanner. The Zip drive is fast and the disks are very reliable they don’t break after just one drop like floppy disks tend to. I would recommend this drive to anyone who needs to back up their work or store files from the internet on it.... Read review

Advantages: Good data storage
Disadvantages: expensive media

...The Iomega Zip 750 is a great way to back-up, store your information. The data transfer is fast and the usablitly is good. The media can hold up to 750MB of data, which is around a 80-min cdr. The cost is a little high, also media costs are expensive too. You can store information at 7mb per second which is a very good data speed rate. The desgin is modern and nice to see. It gives your data ultimate security with the included Iomega Automatic Backup software and can offer great reliability. The user manual is good and the after support is as i know good too, i would recommend to and potential buyers. An easy to use product and a great design.... Read review
