The Iomega drive comes in a very classy and stylish silver/aluminium casing which you can mount on the included stand or lay flat on your computer desk. So easy I didn't use it though.Plug up the cables, usb and power then power on using the on/off switch located at the back of the drive and away you go, Installation on a Vista Computer was lightning fast and was detected immediately and the driver was installed in a matter of 10/15 seconds.It is very quiet in operation and has a quality blue light which flashes during data transfer.I used Acronis True Image 10 to make a full backup of my 320GB hard drive in less than 45 minutes although it only had a 100gb of data to backup. I thoroughly recommend this external hard drive to all.

Quick review of Iomega HDD External Desktop Hard Drive 320 GB
It really is plug and play. No installation activity other than plug in the power lead and then the USB leads and it's fully operational. (Comet offer to charge £15 to do that for you!).
Performance is just fine - I use it as a backup drive via Norton Ghost.
It's a tad noisy (from the fan, I think), but for me, as it's only turned on while back-ups are in process, that's not a problem. ...

Found this drive on the Comet site and reserved to collect in store for £59.99 rather than list price at £69.99 - seemed a good price as most on-line stores were pricing in the high 50's. Unlike a previous experience at PC World, the Comet system really had taken an item off the ... ...was quickly on my desk next to the PC. First impressions are great as it has a very attractive silver finished metal case, and can be mounted flat on the desk, or upright on the neat stand provided. The instructions are incredibly simple - just attach the power lead and USB lead! My PC (running Windows XP) immediately recognised the drive. The drive is very quiet in operation. A great product, for external storage of data, media and files.
Ideal uses are for storage of media libraries such as mp3, Video all your avi. files and mpegs. Easy copy and paste to from the drive make it simple to use.
Also it is an ideal platform for backing up of ghost images, archiving of important files.

Loved the fact that you can just plug it and then use it straight away. Extremly quiet and looks nice. Handy little stand comes with it so can be vertical or horizontal. It is very stylish, silver and not too big that you cant take it around with you. Thought i would have to pay a lot for this size drive but £59.99 from Comet was a fantastic deal. Well worth the money. I was also very surprised when i got home and searched around for prices for this ...
