Iomega eGo portable drives are available for Windows and Mac operating systems and come in five colours: ruby red, midnight blue, silver (alpine white in US), genuine leather and black belt. The capacity options are 250GB, 320GB and 500GB (not all colours are available for each capacity). There is also a special version for Mac users, already formatted HFS+ and with three ports: FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0.
After researching my options I bought a ruby red 320GB original portable series (not the special Mac edition) drive from Misco.co.uk, which cost me £62.08 including delivery. Note, this model (no 34615) can be used in both Windows and Mac computers (although not really recommended for Mac users as you will learn later).

What a fantastic little piece of equipment this!
I have had my 500gb box for 3 weeks now, and can not believe how impressive it is and how very easy it is to set up! This product has a quick set up guide which effortlessly enables you to transfer files with seemlessly, When switched on, your files are viewed immediately and you can navigate with ease. There is a handy remote control incuded with all the neccessary functions. The compact size of the unit means that it will not look cluttered when placed with your DVD, Bluray Player, tv etc. Also incuded are all the neccessary cables/leads plus a set up CD.
Overall a recommended piece of kit, easy to use.
