Iridium Starbook 855 - C 2.6 GHz - 15" TFT

Advantages: Small, all the latest specs.
Disadvantages: Keep crashing, very hot

...I bought this Notebook from my local dealer for £1850 almost two years ago. I thought I am helping local business when I made this purchase. It was biggest mistake I ever made. The Note book had trouble from the beginning. It was over heating frequently. Power point is not design properly. Frequent use makes it loosen, therefore computer kept crashing so often. Loosing works and has to format my Hard Disk over 15 times so far. The pc is only two years old and for that sort of money, did not get the extended warranty. This should have been tested properly/. It got all the latest up grades stuff, but not doing the job properly, I mean that the hardware is not matching with the processors etc.... Read review

Advantages: Will take a 80 GB hdd ??
Disadvantages: no dvd/rw & a small screen & a CRAP batery

...This is a ok laptop but badley made as the screen is to small, & the batery sucks as you are lucky to get 1 hour out of it, & no dvd/rw no coms ports no tv/out no yfi pluss the speakers are stereo when they shoud be soround, but for office bizness it ok & can be made to take a badley needed 80 GB hdd & a DL DVD/RW allso will take a 3.060 GHz P4 cpu with 2 GB of DDR 333. Pluss this laptop needs to be abull to take DULE DDR 400 or beter & a anouther hdd & two more pcmi ports & a 52 in one card reader. & be blue ray readey.... Read review
