A nifty little mover :-)
Review of Hinari IR210S by sminshulls

Advantages: Vari-steam, light, not expensive.
Disadvantages: None

This iron was a steal at just £4.95. Very light and easy to clean. It has vari-steam with four different settings and three temperature settings. Power consumption is stated on base as 1200 watts. Heating the appliance takes about thirty seconds on full temperature setting. Settings are suitable for all materials including wool and delicate items. Comes with three pin plug already attached and runs on a 13 amp fuse. Water cup is supplied for filling ...
...handle with cap which must be secured before operating the iron. Otherwise the water spills everywhere. Handy little instruction leaflet with instructions for 12 month guarantee enclosed. I bought this item in a hurry because my iron broke down witht the intention of getting another one asap. However, I have been so satisfied with this item that I have not bought another. Also this item has been knocked over a few times by my cat but still works ... Read review

Budget price, but equal to high priced competitors
Review of Hinari IR647 by gptrem

Advantages: Efficient, light-weight, smooth and excellent value for money
Disadvantages: none

...suffer from back ache), this Hinari is absolutely ideal. lt heats up very fast, so is ready to use almost by the time you have draped your first shirt over the ironing board. lt is just as powerful as the more expensive makes/models, the basic steam and spray are all that is necessary for a normal laundry load, but for those extra needs, like stubborn jeans or knife-edges on trousers, the steam shot is excellent and very effective, even through a ...
...(1m 80) cable which is plenty long enough to reach but not long enough to tangle as many of the longer cables can. This model comes with anti-lime and is self-cleaning for minimum maintenance, and an aluminium sole. Prices vary, l only paid £8.50 for mine, but it is definately worth the extra pound or two if the one you find is more. ... Read review

Vivaci!
Review of Hinari IR620 Vivaci by lindsayjayne

Advantages: Good at getting creases out, cheap, nice colour!
Disadvantages: A bit heavy, only sold in Co-ops (as far as I can tell)

...choice of three, but the Hinari Vivaci IR620 caught my eye immediately with it's lilac/pink colour. The colour matched my bedroom, and as it was also the cheapest at £9.99, I purchased it straight away. *Features* Upon taking the Hinari IR620 out of the box, the first thing I noticed was that it was much heavier than my previous iron. It does have a stainless steel soleplate, which my previous one didn't, so I'm assuming that accounts for the extra ...
...As I said before, the Hinari Vivaci IR620 is slightly heavier than my previous iron but this isn't noticable when you're actually using it. It's not hard to manoevre, and it glides over my clothes. The IR620 is extremely good at getting creases out and it takes me much less time to do my ironing now - especially with large items like quilt covers. What I like best about this iron (and this is a girlie thing to say, I know) is the fact that the lilac/pink ... Read review

Reliable, basic steam generator
Review of Morphy Richards 42270 Jetstream Generator by richysgirl

Advantages: Light, easy to use, easy to refill, makes ironing quicker and easier.
Disadvantages: Difficult to store, tank poor shape.

...needing to be refilled, the Morphy Richards lasts me for at least an hour. With the water tank (which can't be detatched) the iron isn't particularly easy to store, I've kept the original box and return the iron to that after each use but with the box being cardboard I'm not sure that this offers a longterm solution. I've also had a bit of a problem placing the iron and tank on my ironing board. It doesn't feel all that secure so I think that at ... Read review

fabulous
Review of Philips GC 8220/02 by ricecake

Advantages: great
Disadvantages: bit heavy - but that is what you are buying

I have to disagree with the person who was very negative about this 'iron', I can only say you simply do not iron! I have been ironing for 30 years and this is by far the best I have ever used and will continue to use, walks all over my previous normal steam irons, and it is going to be larger as it is a steam generator not an iron!! So please do not be put off by this persons neg obviously has never really done much ironing?? I have a family of ... Read review
