The package says its ultraglide soleplate makes ironing up to 50% easier, and I must say it does, the ironing really feels smooth and you really have the feeling of sliding on the clothes in a very smooth way. ...use upright ontings like hanging curtains etc. I have hard water here and if anthing is giong to disable a heating elemnet it will be limescale but a use jug filtered water and the iron has a filter built in which you do not need to change a a very simple self clean button, just fill the iron up heat to max, unplug hold iron over the sink and pres this self clean button and all the limescale gets pushed out the system great!
