Taking the chore out of ironing
Review of Rowenta DZ 9010 01 Advancer by
pearlrose
Advantages: Large plate, safety cut off switch when left unattended, generous steam
Disadvantages: Tank on the small side if you are doing a big iron
If you hate ironing shirts then this could be the iron to change all that. It's large plate and generous amounts of steam means it just sails through the pile in no time. There is a groove for the buttons and a nicely shaped narrow end which deals with the most intricate of ironing. I got this iron because of past experience of Rowenta, my last two irons were theirs between them lasting 23 years! It has not 1 but 3 lights which not only tell if it ...

Rowenta focus that will do me
Review of Rowenta DZ 5020 Focus by
Maxlarndison
Advantages: Unusual shape for precision irioning
Disadvantages: none as yet
...for this one.
The rowenta focus DZ 5020 has a very unique design which i have not seen before but i can honestly say it is brilliant, because the front of the iron is more shaped and thinner you can get into all the spots with precision where other irons cannot.
It is a pleasure to use because of its soleplate it glides across all clothes with ease, it may be slightly on the heavy side but to me that isnt a issue.
The first thing i noticed about ... ...be used with normal tap water, most irons i have used before recommend that you use treated water which is a negative in my book as it means forking out more money on treated water, so this was a big plus.
It states that it has been treated to german water hardness which is about 17 dh.
It does state not to use pure distilled water rain water, boiled water filtered or bottle water.
Using the iron is very simple, it comes with a measuring cup and ...

A great Steam Generator Iron
Review of Rowenta DG940 by
agmalias
Advantages: A very efficient iron with plenty of steam for those difficult items
Disadvantages: looks a bit dated - but does that matter?
I bought one of these irons a few months ago, and it's been great. The benefit of having a steam generator is huge - I'd say it halves the time taken to do the ironing, which is quite considerable if you have children. I bought a 'graded' one from an Ebay trader, but you wouldn't know to look at it - it was a lot cheaper, though, at £90!
For those who don't know, a steam generator boils the water up in the base, and feeds the steam to the iron through ... ...more steam because it can hold more water and has a big boiler, so you can zoom through the ironing.
This one is well built and feels solid to use. It has a stainless steel base, so no worrying about damaging any coatings on studs etc, but it still glides well. The water tank is a good size, and lets you iron for nearly an hour before it's empty.....and even then, you just remove the tank without switching the iron off, take it to the tap to fill ...

Rowenta DM825 - Ironing made easy
Review of Rowenta DM 825 Profess. LUXE by
Serenfach
Advantages: Good glide, large water tank
Disadvantages: None
...note.
So although I am not the greatest fan of ironing, I have to say that I am very pleased with my new Rowenta DM825, and most importantly, I haven't burned anything yet!! A good all round iron that gets the job done quickly with the minimum of fuss. ...

No more excuses!
Review of Rowenta DX 2200 Comfort GRIP by
kerryzach
Advantages: cheaper than some, helps the whole experience
Disadvantages: Quite heavy, maybe be a lot of money to some,
...all!
I purchased my Rowenta soft, Model DX 2200, which has been nicknamed ‘Choo Choo’, from Littlewoods mail order catalogue. It cost me £39.99 which in comparison to some on the market was a good deal, in my opinion.
When I bought the iron, I had to wait for it to be delivered but on arrival I excitedly opened the parcel to find a monster of an iron! Well in comparison to my humble Micromark that is! It is very bulky and measures approximately ... ...A very similar model from Rowenta is double the price for little extra function wise. I thought £40 was very reasonable for an iron of this standard. I have managed to cut my iron time by half, at least, and I have not damaged any items in the few weeks I have had it! That is very rare for me!
I do not think I would ever go back to a cheap £15 – £20 iron now. I certainly do not regret paying for this one, although I was a bit reluctant to begin ...
