GV 8160 WHY FIX WHAT IS NOT BROKEN?
Review of Tefal GV 8160 PRO Express Turbo by
cat1510
Advantages: STILL A GREAT STEAM GENERATOR, GREAT FEATURES, GREAT FINISH IN HALF THE TIME
Disadvantages: TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IS AN OLD MODEL IN NEW COLOURS
...have, however found that the Tefal range and especially the Tefal pro express GV8150 was the best one I have had. Well, to my surprise, Tefal have got a new version. Just had to get it (well business expense and all) and see if the new and improved version would once again enrich my lonely days of ironing. Decided to order it and wait with trepidation for the delivery(have to get the excitement where you can). Once it had arrived, end of the day ... ...I do not see why Tefal has thought that this was necessary except that they just want more cash for what is essentially the same product(shame on them). All I have to say to them is "why fix what is not broken".
This is still a great iron which will enhance your ironing experience and will allow you to steam through your ironing(forgive the pun) and if you are looking for this then I recommend it as it will probably lasts a long time but there is ...

Tefal Protect
Review of Tefal GV 9150 Protect Turbo by
drow22
Advantages: Reduced ironing time
Disadvantages: Very Expensive
Tefal GV 9150 Protect Turbo
Out of all the household tasks ironing is the one I hate and the one I am useless at. So when my iron died a death a couple of months ago I thought I would invest in a steam generator iron. Whilst they are expensive they all claimed to cut your ironing time down by half, which sounded good to me. I opted for the Tefal Protect Turbo as I liked the idea that you could cover it with a hood and put it away still hot, without ... ...Ok so what's the iron Tefal Protect like?
Well there is no picture on Ciao so I will try and describe the iron too you. All steam generator irons are much bulkier than your standard iron this is because of the large water reservoir where the steam is generated and the Tefal Protect is no different.
The actual iron which you hold is very light weight and easy to maneuvere it sits on a white base unit which generates all the steam and has a see through ...

Tefal Ultraglide Easycord 60
Review of Tefal FV4260G8 Ultraglide 60 by
MatB
Advantages: De-creased clothes
Disadvantages: Burnt fingers if you're not careful
Tefal Ultraglide Easycord 60
I'm a bloke. I don't DO ironing. Well only shirts and work trousers, and the odd t-shirts if its really creased.
I've used an iron my gran received as a give-away with a catalogue for years. Recently its been leaking all over the place so I decided it was time for a new one.
I may be a little biased with my previous iron, but for £20 with a ceramic sole plate, you can't really go wrong. It's got a large water ... ...of ironing I do. If you iron lots of thicker stuff it may struggle. I tend to use the instantaneous steam boost when ironing thicker trousers. This gives a good head of steam, but would not be appropriate to use all the time.
What else does it do? Errrm, apart from ironing its got a self-clean mechanism (which oddly involves pressing the button and taking a gadget out so not really SELF clean); a squirty thing for extra water up front; and a handy ...

Tefal GV 8150 PRO Express Turbo
Review of Tefal GV 8150 by
Goodenough4
Advantages: Cuts ironing time
Disadvantages: None
This is my second steam generator iron and I thought my last one was good but the GV 8150 is excellent. It heats up in about 2 minutes, glides through the most stubborn creases and has a turbo boost button for really stubborn creases.. One of the advantages is that it has continuous steam so you can carry on ironing even if you run out of water, my old iron you had to wait again for it to heat up, also it sis relatively quiet compared to my old one. ...

Sweet, sweet vapours!
Review of Comfort Vaporesse Lily and Riceflower by
mummy2harry
Advantages: Lovely smell, keeps your iron free from limescale, cheap
Disadvantages: None
...pound shop that they had Comfort Vaporesse in there, I thought for just £1 it would be worth a try. It was the original type that I tried, but I wasn't overly keen on the smell so when in Sainsburys, I checked the laundry aisle and found that there is another fragrance of Vaporesse, yay!
Comfort Vaporesse is basically an ironing water which aids ironing, prevents your iron getting clogged up with limescale and helps fragrance your clothes because ... ...nicely his clothes smelt!
Comfort Vaporesse is definitely a product which has made my ironing and nicer and much more pleasant experience that it has ever been! The nice smell quickly surrounds you as your iron releases the fragranced water as steam, and it left all of my clothes lightly fragranced and very soft too. The easy pour spout prevents spillages when putting the water into the iron, and the clear bottle allows you to keep an eye on how ...
