With the water tank (which can't be detatched) the iron isn't particularly easy to store, I've kept the original box and return the iron to that after each use but with the box being cardboard I'm not sure that this offers a longterm solution. I have to disagree with the person who was very negative about this 'iron', I can only say you simply do not iron! I have been ironing for 30 years and this is by far the best I have ever used and will continue to use, walks all over my previous normal steam irons, and it is going to be larger as it is a steam generator not an iron!! I've always bought cheap irons in the past but as they tend to mark easily and hence mark your clothes, I decided to buy a slightly more expensive one. With so many to choose from, the main reason I chose this model in the end was because it was half price at Tesco...£15.00. The Philips GC 4340 is a precise steam iron which has a special tip so ironing is made easier for those hard to reach places on some garments.
