Advantages: Excellent sound for an excellent price! Solid build, 100 watts RMS Disadvantages: None for the price!
I have owned 2 pairs of JBLControl 1 speakers and they have never let me down! The first pair I owned I gave to my dad as he liked the sound so much!
These are bookshelf speakers and measure (H x W x D) 227 x 130 x 140 mm. They can be mounted on a stand, on a shelf or you can also order the wall brackets from jbl.
For the size they have an excellent sound, warm solid bass with crisp mid and treble. They are 100 watts RMS and can really handle some power. The speaker is 2 way, comprising of a 4" bass woofer and a 1/2" titanium laminate dome tweeter. These speakers also feature a front mounted bass port. for a pair of 12 inch speaker cones he has lying in the garage, I don't think my JBL's will be replaced.
-Background-
JBL have been making speakers for over 50 years. They aim to provide precision sound quality that is available to everyone.

The speakers sit into a polystyrene sleeve. I don't know if there are any instructions with these speakers as I didn't get them in a shop and I don't know if my dad has them lying around somewhere.
-Where they can be used-
The Control 1X is a compact personal size speaker so it can be put anywhere, shelf walls (if brackets used) etc. They will fit most hi-fi systems by connecting them with speaker cables (can be ...

Advantages: Great sound, Great looks Disadvantages: No remote control
The JBL On Time is a stylish, high performance iPod dock, RDS radio and alarm clock, available in black or white finish. It's one of the more expensive iPod docks on the market, but as with most things, you get what you pay for and the sound quality is FAR superior to cheaper alternatives (I also own an older Intempo iPod dock which was much cheaper but the sound quality is awful).
JBL are specialists in audio and it shows, the "Halo acoustics" system produces a rich, full sound from any direction and is more than enough for a bedroom or small to mid-sized living room. Before buying it, I'd only heard it inside a large, noisy department store and the sound didn't completely convince me, but I took the risk and bought one. After trying it at home, I'm more than happy with both the volume, and the quality of the sound.
