I bought these speakers when i decided that by small anoying speakers on my monitor where just not enough.
These speakers give a lovely crisp and accurate sound. They give a huge range of volume which if needed they can go extremely loud for the little things that they are. They are small and compact so they do not take up much space on a desk. These speakers also have very little distortion thanks to special JBL technology.
One disadvantage is that you can not plug headphones into them. So unfortunately you cant listen to their great sound quality in silence!
On the whole i would say that these speakers are very good and they do not cost much, about £30. For this reason they are affordable to anyone so i would recommend these to evereyone.

I have got these speakers for my imac. They are really good to use for working to music and sounds on the web. They are not amazingly loud, but the quality is good, they look great (especially in Silver) and they discrete on your desk. Good value for money too.

Advantages: Good volume for small speakers Disadvantages: Wires are a nightmare
These speaker are very ease to use, and they product a more than adequate sound. They are also very solid and durable, so you don\'t need to handle them with gloves. Nothing complicated with the controls, as there is only one control for the volume. This mean it comes with no extra that some other speakers have, eg treble, bass controls. It can be plugged into many music devices and your computer. However, if you are like me and hate when wires get ... ...power socket to the main speaker, is not very long. This means that when the cords are tangled, to move the speaker from anywhere near the socket it is plugged into is almost impossible. If your budget allows you to look for wireless speakers, then i would recommend that you dont get this. However, if you are looking for a pair of speakers under £35, these will do the job well. ...

The JBL Duet speaker system provides smooth and accurate sound for any portable music player or computer. Duet uses patent pending Tangential Strain Relief (TSR) technology. With TSR you get extra bass and lower distortion. The neodymium magnet creates more power and sensitivity. Duet also uses a proprietary port design which enhances the bass performance.
