...to your favourite stations. Alarms: The On Time has two alarms and several options for how each will work. For example, you can set each alarm to ring every day (7D), only weekdays (5D) or only weekends (2D), so you can set different times for weekdays and weekends, and never have to remember to change the alarm time. You can also set the alarm to use your iPod, the radio or it's own ring tone. Each of them get progressively louder if you don't press snooze, or turn off the On Time. The snooze interval can be set manually (one of my bugbears with another alarm clock I have, and also my Nokia E65 phone which has the snooze interval set to 5 minutes and can't be changed!). Any downsides? Yes. Where's the remote control??? This is a serious omission in my opinion, of course, we all want to snooze for a while after the alarm... Read review

Advantages: Wonderful sound quality, Suprisingly low price, Amazing design

...Before I bought these speakers about a year ago, I had thoroughly searched the internet for any opinion, review, press release, and editorial on the Creature II and discovered that these were rather exceptional speakers. Yet I was still concerned that this was a product of design over quality - simply due to the shockingly small size of the satellite speakers (about the size of your fist), and that JBL were more concerned about desigining some speakers that would complement Apple Macs than impress the music listener. Even when I went to Tottenham Court Road to test out the Creature II, I was not quite convinced that the audio quality was up to scratch. This could have been due to the fact that it was very noisy in-store, with lots of people and the obligatory shop muzak playing - obviously no condition to seriously compare speaker... Read review

Advantages: Excellent sound for an excellent price! Solid build, 100 watts RMS
Disadvantages: None for the price!

...I have owned 2 pairs of JBL Control 1 speakers and they have never let me down! The first pair I owned I gave to my dad as he liked the sound so much! These are bookshelf speakers and measure (H x W x D) 227 x 130 x 140 mm. They can be mounted on a stand, on a shelf or you can also order the wall brackets from jbl. For the size they have an excellent sound, warm solid bass with crisp mid and treble. They are 100 watts RMS and can really handle some power. The speaker is 2 way, comprising of a 4" bass woofer and a 1/2" titanium laminate dome tweeter. These speakers also feature a front mounted bass port. When you play the speakers loud its is astonishing the amount of air that is forced out of the bass ports!
