You do have to be careful when matching up the power ratings with your existing stereo however, as I discovered when I hooked them up to my ancient toyota standard stereo and could barely hear the sound!

The only problem is that the plastic plinth which allows this versatility is quite delicate, and if you screw them in too tightly to the brackets they are prone to damage.
