Of the desing flaws, there are many. Some are:
Not including a "turn off/on" option, instead giving the user some not-so-obvious ways to do it. One being simultaneously pressing the Vol+ and Vol- buttons to turn it off. Also when it is turned on you have to hammer the Vol+ button to increase the volume to the desired amount.
The 3.5mm-3.5mm cable idea. If you lose this cable, you're totally screwed. You have no place to store said cable anywhere when it's not in use because it's impossible to actually close the JBL On Tour speakers because the end of the cable is deliberately in the way of the shutting mechanism, which is also a not so obvious way of turning the thing off. If I wanted to turn something off for later use, closing the lid over without officially switching the thing off would make me assume that the speakers are still on.
I do not recommend these speakers. Especially considering how much they cost. I do recommend you pass this one over and go for some other brand, because these speakers were designed by fools and are totally user-unfriendly. When there are so many better options on the market currently, why settle for these mediocre speakers?

Prices for the JBL speakers can vary but if you are able to pick them up at the cheaper end of the market then they are certainly worth a buy if you a keen traveller, the ability to use them with any mp3 player also gives them a huge advantage over some of their rivals and in my experience often makes them cheaper too. Overall these speakers do the their job well, their mobile, compact and will clearly pump out music into a small to medium ...

Advantages: Compact size, good sound, holds plenty of songs Disadvantages: Need volume quite high in noisy places.
My husband and I have recently returned from a trip to the US. We stayed with family in Connecticut, close to the New York border.
On one of the our days there, my cousin took us to a very smart mall in New York state. One of the stores there was an Apple store.
We went in, with no real plan to buy anything, but after wondering around, and getting to play with all the different i-pods, Mini Mac, and speakers, both my husband and I had been won over.
My husband, who already has a Vaio portable opted for some JBL On-tour speakers, which I will review in due course.
I on the other hand found myself returning to the i-pod display time and time again, and finally decided to buy myself a mini i-pod.
I chose the mini i-pod because of it's compact size, the price, and because 4Gb of storage is more than enough for the music I ...
