JD sports is the main stockist of the latest in sports fashion clothing and footwear. They sell the very latest trainers and football boots of which many brands are designed exclusively to be sold at JD Sports. They are often more fashionable than similar designs found at other sports outlets. The clothing that is stocked at JD, ranges from tracksuit bottoms to polo shirts and hoodies through to shorts. They also sell the latest replica football kits and sports/fashion accessories such as wooly hats, baseball and running caps, gloves and wrist/sweat bands.
JD have their own exclusive brand which has been responsible for much of their success. It is called McKenzie and has been a firm favourite ever since JD first opened. Polo shirts is the main range that has the McKenzie brand name on. They have produced some whacky and some more simple designs over the years, but they have always stuck to a certain formula that has been so popular. They also make hoodies which are very popular and they are my personal favourite. Recently there have been a number of footwear lines that have the McKenzie branding on them. These are quite cheap compared with those of the main sports companies, but they haven't
been hugely popular.
If you stroll into any JD Sports outlet, or King of Trainers for that matter, you can expect to see trainers, clothing and accessories from the following list of manufactures: Adidas - Nike - Reebok - Puma - Umbro - K-Swiss - Ecko Unlimited - LaCoste - McKenzie - Nickelson - Timberland.
JD Sports is one of the largest chains of shops providing sports and liesure clothing. They have well over 300 stores, located in various towns and cities across the United Kingdom. JD Sports was founded back in the early 80's and the first outlet opened its doors to the public in December 1981, in Bury. The name JD is derived from the first letter of the two founders' names, John and David. Recently, the number of outlets increased, as the owners purchsed rivals First Sport and began converting the stores. JD Sports has come a long way in a very short space of time and they look set to remain popular for years to come.
It is often the case, that where there is one JD Sports outlet, there will be another one close by. For example, there are two in Southampton, in Islington and on Oxford Street in London and at the shopping centre in Watford. This is very handy because I once wanted a pair of trainers that had sold out in size 10 in one shop, so I went to the other one and they had them. Some of the JD stores are called 'King of Trainers', which is where I ended up getting my shoes, because they only sell trainers and some accessories.
There is also a website for JD Sports, which can be found at www.jdsports.co.uk. Unfortunately, aren't able to purchase the whole product range that is found in the outlets. They only sell their footwear online, which is good in itself because you can browse through the whole range at your leisure. They have details of the current sales that are on, which I find quite useful. There is also details on the history of JD Sports and also on the other major sports brands. They have a store locater function that can find your local outlets for you and gives you all of the relevant details. You can enter fun competitions to win cool prizes and you can see some previews of clothing due in store.
When you are shopping in-store, you can find what you are looking for very easily. The layout is very simple and there is a lot of space to move around in. There aren't hundreds of different products available so you can scan though everything very easily. I have found that most products that you require are in stock and they do have a good range of sizes from small all the way through to extra large. The only time I couldn't get what I wanted, I just popped down to the other store located close by and they had what I was after. JD are very reliable so if you don't find what you are looking for, they should be able to get hold of it for you. The larger stores get regular deliveries of stock so you could get your poduct within a day or two.
I probably spend most of my money in JD when shopping becase I am into that sort of clothing. I also love sport and you can't have too many pairs of trainers. I would certainly reccomend it to anybody, because they do sell the latest fashion and it is good quality. I find that they are very helpful, because I have had to exchange a lot of items in the past because they didn't fit. They do also try their best to provide you with what you are looking for.
I have heard a lot of people describing JD as expensive and extortionate. I find this hillarious because most of the stuff that JD sells can't be bought anywhere else, so what are people using a comparison. I think the pricing is little pricey when you first visit, but once you get your items home you know that they were very much worth the money that you splashed out. So the next time you are out shopping, pop into JD and have a look around because you may well be surprised. I would say that there is something for everyone under the age of about 40. Thanks for taking the time to read!

Nice OP. I worked for a JD store in scotland and found that the stuff was quite expensive when they first got it in, but if you waited a couple of weeks then the prices normally fell to a good level.

I used to find them so expensive but thankfully a mate of mine is now a manager at one of the shops so I gladly use his staff discount lol
