I just had to write and tell you how pleased I am with my bagless cylinder vac that I recently bought in Index for the bargain price of £70!! Our old vac which was a dyson original had finally given up the ghost after about 5 years. Money was tight having just moved house, we would have loved to have bought a new dyson but coulnt stretch to the £150 + price tag. We looked around and found similar models but the next cheapest an electrolux was £100. So we decided to take a chance with the JMB. I couldnt wait to use it we had had carpets laid two weeks prior and there was a lot of fluff! The instructions werent the best I've seen, as if they'd been photocopied 20times, but it was pretty easy to guess where the pices went. On switching it on I found it a bit noisier than the old vac but then again it is more powerful. It also had a funny smell a bit like bacon cooking, but I didnt mind. I could not believe how much it picked up! I thought that maybe it was a one off but since then I've used it about another 10times & am still amazed at how much it sucks up. The only draw backs of this vac are that it is quite heavy & the tools arent as high tec as they were on the dyson. But when I think that it was about half the price, I definitely dont mind that.
