Advantages: Cheap and works well Disadvantages: Dosent have some extra features
Want a good budget DVD player? Maybe you want to buy your first player just to make sure your going to get some use out of it, or maybe your just not sure about entering the DVD market right at the moment. Well, I’ve got just the right DVD player for you.
JMB DVD players can be found at Littlewoods Extra (www.littlewoodsextra.com) at £139.99. They can probably be found elsewhere, but this is the only place I have seen them. So, your thinking to yourself ‘well I’ve never heard of JMB before, are they any good?’ and that’s just what I thought. Well, basically, they are at the lower end of the electronics market along with the likes of Daewoo, Alba and Mitsumi. These companies all sell quality products, but just don’t concentrate too much on the looks of the product, or packaging and so forth ...

Advantages: Cheap, easy set-up Disadvantages: No VCD playback, won't play any form of recordable media, some jerky playback on certain DVDs
I decided to buy a DVD player because dargging the sofa across the room so that it was in front of my PC was becoming a bit of a pain. After scouting around, buying a few magazines and because of the other op on this player, I decided to buy the JMB DVD-3000, although the choice was limited, admittedly, because I bought it through Littlewoods Extra.
JMB seems to be a company that manufacture and sell products for the lower end of the market (I also have a fridge and freezer), but so far I have had no problems with anything from the company.

Advantages: Cheap, Stainless, Does the business, still going strong after 4.5 years Disadvantages: Hasn't got a big name, if that's important to you
requirement 1. Thereafter the styling differences and prices were my only other considerations.
Popping into town on BH Monday saw me checking out the metal/plastic in person before I settled on the JMB (yes, I'm getting nearer to an opinion soon). I'd not heard of that name before and was dubious. However, in Littlewoods Index shop the flash SALE sign caught my eye, as these things tend to, so I checked the JMB number out in the metal.
Yes, SS, retro, big slots and cheap. I'll take one. £17.99 reduced from £21.99 (they are now £18.99). The cheapest SS model around by far. Would it be cheap and nasty in the kitchen?
After an extensive trial lasting over a intensive 3 days (yeah, right) I'm very happy with the slightly impulsive bargain buy.
It has (TL1000):
-Variable browning control.
-Extra-long variable width slots, that ...
