...i recently bought a J.M.B C2005 is a cylinder vacuum cleaner. i hate to say it but i actually wanted a dyson :( i like the clear bit in the middle! it but then this one caught my eye as it looks like a dyson but its cheaper! great! it even had the clear bit in the middle! it looks good as well as not having to replace bags of course.! so i bought it and woke up extra early on saturday morning to do my cleaning. it had all the funky atatchments - upholstery brush , upholstery tool, crevice tool - the hose was very flexible unlike my old one which used to bend and then make funny noises like it was suffocating! it has a carry handle which is very good! my older one was a bit bulky and i used to have trouble carrying it up the stairs. on the whole i love this vacuum cleaner. it does the job ofcourse. it was cheap. and ofcourse it... Advantages: Simple controls, easy enough to use, toasts 4 slices in one go!
Disadvantages: Struggles on home baked bread, body doesn't always stay cool in use, availability

...Kenwood; there's a name I haven't seen for a long time. I used to have a Hi fi unit with the name of Kenwood and although it wasn't the best it took me a few years to realise that the company who make kitchen appliances and Hi Fi's are not the same people! Doh! Well its harmless enough mistake to make given that the look of each brand emblem is virtually the same. These days however I have moved onto better things and replaced my old Hi Fi with an all in one unit, half the size and twice the amount of features. The same goes with my toaster. Having had a few cheapie brand names over the years such as Hinari, Bush and JMB from then, Index catalogue stores (bought over by Argos) and another similar toaster from Poundstretcher, one day my cheapie toaster no longer toasted. Advantages: smooth, effortless ironing in a fraction of the time
Disadvantages: high price - but worth every penny

.... Morphy Richards also produced their own version and I believe Index – the catalogue shop – introduced their ‘own brand’ JMB into the arena (costing £89 – the cheapest). Looking at what is on offer right know, prices have not changed an awful lot, as you still have pay at least £100 to get a name brand. But this Tefal has stood the test of time so far. We have had it for 18 months and it has certainly changed my wife’s life – for the better. Ironing that used to be a chore taking 3 hours and more, especially when both our sons were living at home, can now be dashed off in less than an hour. Quicker by far, smoother lines to all the clothes and a much less stressed out wife into the bargain. At what cost ? £149 !!!! A complete bargain. Now for the tedious bit. What does it do? How fast does it go? And will it get those hard to deal... Read review
