Advantages: Battery life. Sound quality. OK as basic CD player - no more!
Disadvantages: Poor software for making compressed CD's.

...Although as a CD player its fine - it's the ability to compress 30 CD's onto 1 CD that makes it attractive. BUT the software to do this (SonicStage v2.0) is poor and often produces unreadable CD's (coasters). It also requires a very fast processor to make it less time consuming (2 hrs to just prepare and write a compressed CD on a .5GHz PIII, plus 15 mins per CD to read). I'd recommend 2.5Gz or faster. And the s/w has real problems with CD-RW's - the player may have as well, but I've been unable to write one to find out! There is no software to produce MP3 CD's unless you happen to have it pre-installed on a SONY laptop - they don't tell you that as you buy- try iTunes, free from Apple! ...i found this to be a fantastic in-car entertainment system. i can play my music videos and dvd's while i relax in my car which i found really useful at long traffic in the roads. it is equipped with a perfect 7" screen and it also comes with a handy infra-red remote controller. This system supports a t.v tuner so you can watch t.v which is useful for anyone who wants to watch their favourite show or football match while on the road. To sum up the kenwood system i would say: The KVT-M700 would eat its competitors for lunch if it had any competitors.
