I shall not go to lengths to explain the halogen cooker, as I see others have already described it in good detail.
I purchased mine from Home Shopping Direct for £39.99p, as part of my 'save energy' drive! I thought it was going to be just another gadget and hummed and haaed for ages before taking the plunge and buying one. I'm glad I did. It is so easy to use, cooks food nicely (although not as quickly as I thought, a 2kg joint of pork took nearly 3 hours) and plenty of space inside to cook enough for a family of four. (Like mine). It cleans very easily, although to be honest I don't bother with the self clean function as it easy to wash by hand. The lid (which contains the heating element) takes just a wipe over. The thing that got my goat was the recipe book that came with it. Obviously not written in England, the spelling mistakes are dreadful and you have to use your common sense to work out what it means. Example: oil instead of foil (wrap in oil - got to mean wrap in foil eh?). Also the recipes are very limited and of no real help. If you like to store your gadgets in the cupboard, make sure you have plenty of room. I leave mine out for this reason.
Would I buy again? Oh yes!
