JML Magic Carpet

I have a lovely handy carpet from the JML makers and I have this on my kitchen lino by the back door. I have had my mat now for a lot of years but it is still as good now as it was when I bought it from new.

My JML mat was bought from new when I saw an advert on the television set and I picked up the telephone and ordered one straight away and paid by my card. It cost e £12 at the time but I think they are sill available to buy now but they might be more expensive because I bought mine some time ago.

It is called a magic carpet not because it flies off but because it magically absorbs all the water off my shoes and boots and Wellington boots when I have been outside in the wet and up to the allotment. It really helps to keep my lino in the kitchen lovely and dry and dirt free and it has impressed me a lot. It has got small things in it called microfibres and the back of the pack says that it is these microfibres which trap all of the dirt and debris I bring in from outside. I wish the cats would walk on it when I let them in the back door though but they tend to prefer to walk right around it instead and this gives me paw prints all over my lino. If they walked on the carpet then the wetness from their little paws would stay on the carpet and keep my floor nice and clean and dry.

I have washed my carpet a lot of times on a forty degree cycle in my washing machine and it still works just as well as it did when it was new. You are not to use and fabric softener though as this will stop it from working and I was warned about this when I bought it because it said on the packaging.

It doesn’t slip or move around on the floor and stays where I put it. Mine is in brown but you can also buy them in other colours but the brown matched my kitchen the best, I thought.

I really do like my JML magic carpet. It was worth the money and I recommend it to you.
