When I moved into my mew home, there were some bad stains on the worktops and the plastic drainer was also stained and discoloured. I tried all sorts of cleaners aswell as thick bleach and tried scouring the stains, but although they lightened they were still visible. Then a friend advised me to get a magic eraser. I'd seen them advertised and remembered that they recommended it to get pen scribble off walls, but I'd not thought of using one to remove stains of a worktop and also I've bought many JML products in the past and hardly any have been very successful. Anyway I gave it a go and found that this product actually works and all you need is to moisten with water and stains/marks effortlessly rub away.
Here are some of the types of stains/marks I've easily removed-
Felt tip pen off painted wall (with matt emulsion painted walls I've noticed that some of the paint can lift aswell)
Grubby finger prints off most hard surfaces
Scum/limescale marks around taps (leaves taps and sinks shining)
Removes grease and water marks off my stainless steel aplliances and leaves them looking shiney and clean
There are downsides to the product. It doesn't last very long. It is so quick to use, that you can find youself racing round the house, rubbing at every slight mark and before you know it, it has desintegrated into a crumbled mess in your hand. This makes the product quite expensive at £2.99. Great product, not so great price!.
However, I have found a cheaper make. Exactly the same product, works just as well and might be slightly bigger in size even. I regularly buy "Pride Erase Away" from a local discount store for just 89p for two. As an alternative to detergent cleaners it saves me time, effort and money. I couldn't be without it.
