Good medium priced 32" TV 27/09/2000

Advantages Picture quality is remarkable using Sky digital via a SCART lead set to RGB. Dolby Surround processor with external outputs. Small cabinet edge stops it being too imposing in a room.
Disadvantages No mix facility when using Teletext. Surround speakers not supplied (although sound is vey good without them).

On chosing a 32" Widescreen TV there seems to be two options a) Buy a budget MATSUI type model or b) Spend hundreds of pounds more for a good branded one. This JVC is a good compromise for those wanting a branded TV that should have some inherant reliability. It has a reasonable price tag and a very clear and sharp picture with no bent or curved edges on the display. Very easy to setup and use. The sound output should be adequete for most people without having to connect to a Hi-Fi. Can go very loud with lots of bass with little distortion.
