I own and drive mini diggers for a living, and i go on some really bad dirt roads with big pot holes. I drive a land rover discovery and that vehicle really gets shaken up badly with the roads i drive on. I bought the JVC CH X550 and put in a load of my favourite dance and trance cds and set off for my next job. I came across a road that had loads of pot holes bumps dips and everything you could think of and the Jvc just carried on playing my cds with no problem at all. The cd changer is shock proof and has a 3 laser pick up that means 3 lasers are scanning the cd all the time the disk is playing. The cd changer is attached to some pine and i have also attached two 6+9 speakers as well to the pine. The pine is fixed to the wheel arches at the back and that is where it gets most of the shocks from. The cd changer gets hammered with shocks all day long but will never ever skip. Buy the JVC CH X550 cd changer and i know for a fact that you will never regret it. Im updateing my system to the touch screen jvc mp3 player and the mp3 cd changer knowing full well that my cds will never jump or give me any hassle.
