...The JVC XV-S302 is a pretty standard DVD player. It has all the basics with no thrills Without the thrills, makes this DVD simplistic and straight forward! simplistic interface, clearly identifiable operation buttons, its idiot proof! i had no trouble setting it up, i didnt need to consult the manual at all! It's a godsend to the technically challenged like myself! JVC are a name you can trust, don't buy any old name. JVC products have a good reputation and this player represents that statement. High quality at an affordable price Looks well enough that you dont have to try hide it behind cabinet doors either, its well placed to suit the 'good' rooms and the 'childrens' room. If all you want to do is to watch DVDs… BUY THIS DVD PLAYER the JVC XV-S302!!! And never think twice after!! Expect to pay no more than €100 AND BONUS... Read review

Advantages: Nice clear sound, compact, and very reasonably priced.
Disadvantages: CD player quality not as good as the cassette player.

...If like me you like to be able to hear the vocals and instruments in a piece of music then you will be pleasantly surprised by this micro system. After our old micro started playing up I decided to buy a new one. I was less than pleased with the old one (a Sony CMT-CP11). It had plenty of Bass and Treble alright but it lacked Midrange which for somebody who appreciates music with real intsruments and talented singers was a big problem. So instead of buying mail order (and making the same mistake again), I decided to go to my local electrical shop armed with a couple of my favourite tapes and CD's so that I could actually listen to some systems before buying. And after listening to a few different systems the JVC UX-G3 was a clear winner. I did pay £90 for it as it was an independent electrical retailer but have seen them going on... Read review

Advantages: Sound quality is awesome! Spacious and stylish design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't play MP3s.

...I own my very own JVC XV-E100 and love it. The sound quality and design is awesome. Picture quality of the DVD is also great. Tip: Sound does sound best above a hardwood floor. The only draw back is that the player doesn't play MP3s. If I would have to buy another DVD player, it would have to play MP3s. Sound sound is very theatrical and realistic. The best DVD I seen yet playing on this system is XXX. The soundtrack and fast paced action make s the system come alive. The subwoofer is a bit undersized. It performs well but could shake the walls a bit more. If you want a system that will provide great quality picture and sound for your money this player is it. If you want high quality sound and MP3 playback look elsewhere.... Read review
