For MPEG-2 pictures, the Super MPEG Encode Pre- and Post-Processors deliver high-quality, progressive pictures even with long-time recordings. The unit is compatible with GUIDE Plus+ for easy recording timer setup. The 3-in-1 recorder permits '6-way' dubbing with advanced functions. For HDD-to-DVD dubbing, JVC-developed 'Bit-Rate Optimizer' ensures the highest-possible picture quality when dubbing content on a DVD's 4.7GB space via HDD. If you go for speed, the DR-MX10 permits Max. 64x High-Speed Dubbing from HDD to DVD. For VHS-to-DVD dubbing, 'One-Touch Expert Dubbing' automatically creates thumbnails of DVD-dubbed programs, skips any blank spaces on the tape, and even selects a recording mode for optimum picture quality. The DR-MX10 also features Simultaneous Recording/Playback and Navigation System with Animated Thumbnails for easy access to recorded programs. The HELP function - available in 10 languages - provides instructions for operations and functions with GUI.
