Although this camcorder is a hybrid there is not much difference between this product and tape operated camcorders. The connectivity is very good with 5 sockets which include USB, component, HDMI, iLink and AV. It's very lightweight and easy to use whether you are an experienced operator or a complete novice. The only downside I would say is that if you use an Apple MAC there are not many options for importing the footage, I used iMovie. The 60GB hard disk allows between 5 and 7 hours high definition recording. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.
