Now we had been looking for a light and easy to use camera that we would be able to take with us on holidays we looked on here to find reviews and saw the GR-D240 but could only find the GR-D247 which seems to be the same as the GR-D240.
The advantages that I can see are:
It's a lot smaller than anticipated which is great its about the size of your palm (6.4 x 8.4 x 14.6 cm), Its very light (half a kilo all in), for something so small it seems to have a very big screen (2.5 inch), Great sound the microphone seems to pick up all the sounds around. You can either have the camera on manual or on auto this is great The zoom is great to and very easy to use
The disadvantages that I have been able to see are:
The motor comes up very loud when you play back the footage on the camera however it's easy to clear up when you transfer them to the computer. The battery power is a small problem but this may be just me I don't like to have to charge it for 90mins only to get an hour of footage. No tape was included No cable to hook up to the computer was included.
To sum up, this is a very easy to use, light and small what else could a person ask for. Of course there is one thing I know you all want to know the price, we got the camera from Argos at £199.99 but this was on special offer it is normally £299.99. The camera came with a lens cap always useful a hand strap that adjusts with Velcro just so its easy, the power cable a rechargeable battery and a manual, you do need to buy a disk to going and the cable to run it off your computer. So to end it all it's the best 200 pounds that we have spent in a long time.
Here comes all the info now
