I got this camera last birthday and for a relatively low price it is brilliant. I know that there will be a lot of High Definition cameras and Hard Disk cameras coming on to the market soon but this little camera is good for the family holidays etc. I took the camera to France on a snowboarding holiday and the quality is what you would expect from an older camera, the lens adjusted perfectly to the snow and average the bars dimmer light. I must add that this camera does not perform well in artificial light but this is not specific to this camera. This camera is good if you are going to be carrying around in a backpack then taking out and recording quickly. I would definitely recommend this camera for family holidays and day trips. Coupled with a editing program on your PC you can make your videos look really good. The only bad thing i have to say about this is that your computer needs to have a firewire port in order to transfer videos across.
