JVCGR D53
This mini DV camcorder, has very good picture and sound quality. The images are very clear when filmed with this camera it has an image resolution that is very high. The camera it self is a good sizes and weight.

Advantages: Ease of use , Lightweight Disadvantages: Over saturated reds
At first sight the DV4000 seemed an excellent prospect, being very light and offering the potential of VHS like quality at maximum frame rate. An inspection of the cameras screen looks promising - but my advice see it output on a computer first - then decide.Whilst it does many things - MPEG4 video, MP3 player, 2.1 mega pixel camera (interpolated to 3 mp) is a jack of all trades and a master of none. The MPEG4 mode at maximum resolution gives you a jerky frame rate, and doesn't match the performance of VHS. The Camera function tends to over emphasize reds and there is no flash with occasional image blur. . However there is a useful feature of being able to add a sound clip to your photo. The MP3 player lacks any significant output musically and is not worth bothering with. The battery included is great - LiON Rechargeable via plug ...

built in electret condenser type microphone in either 16 bit/48KHz modes (the latter allowing for additional separate commentary recording or music). Stereo separation and overall quality is much as to be expected from mics of this type, reasonable but lacking the depth and resonance of higher-spec systems.
Conclusion:
In keeping with market trends, JVC has responded to the need for full digital and analogue connectivity on this model, and this is to be applauded. It's a pity that this has been included at the expense of other useful features like an external microphone input or more importantly, a headphone output, but theres no doubt that for the majority of camcorder users looking for a simple DV camcorder that produces good quality pictures and sounds under normal conditions this isn't a concern.
