I have to say that this is the first digital camcorder I have owned so I have nothing with which to compare. That said, this is a great little camera. It is very easy to use and takes very little understanding of electronic equipment to operate. It is a great value as well, giving you the same and even better options than some pricier models.

Tapes can be shot in full colour or black and white. There are a plethora of options for fine tuning the picture and sound quality. There are insert and edit functions available for those who want to fully customize their videos. The video and sound quality are exceptional.
The unit comes with a battery backup, charger, shoulder strap, carrying case, and a neat little remote control unit for playing back the videos. It also comes with all of the necessary cable connections to connect to other components, eliminating the need to make further purchases to fully enjoy the unit. The instruction booklet is very easy to understand and will have you using the camera to it's maximum potential in about half an hour.
