It only weighs ... ...dv tapes which are readily available and cheap to buy. it comes with all leads and software to enable you to connect to TV or computer for putting onto DVD or cd and the brilliant software enables you to easily edit your film. It comes with a battery, charger all leads, software and ac adaptor which I would recommend using for playback as the battery does not last long, on average half hour of continuous shooting.

The cassettes are 80mins long but there’s a setting on the camcorder which allows you to record in long play mode. It has the facility to take digital camera stills although there isn’t a memory card on this camera and the picture quality is quite poor. you can decide to fade out from one piece of film to another. There is a parent lock to stop children from deleting your masterpieces! you can even set the sound mode you require.
The lcd monitor can be out or neatly folded away. you can do clips for sending via email. The menu screen is self explanatory and easy to follow in order to get just the settings you require.
I haven’t needed to use the remote control that also is included. All in all there are too many functions to name here, this is a small and neat little camcorder and great value for money. I paid £399 for it but I have since seen the price come down quite substantially. if you want a lot from a little camcorder you will get it from this. I would recommend this product.
