For any budding filmaker getting a camera for the job plays a bigpart in their preporation. The JVC HD-100 and family have a lot to offer. Native 720p aqusition allows for high quality videos with the 'filmic' look and responses in low light compared to other cameras is fairly good. when paired with adobe products such as Premiere Pro 2 your next feature could be just around the corner as the couple excel in everthing from capturing to burning to DVD. This feature packed camera alows you to adjust for every scene and save it to a removable SD card. The option for interchangable lenses (2/3") made this camera stand out from the rest as you can shove on a huge lense for one shot and a fishey for the next. The lense that comes with it is ver good and offers excelent image quility and a versitile focal range. Sound on the camere can be relcorded via the 2 mic or line XLR inputs wich are the profesionals choice. Bad points in this camera are the inability for hotpluggable battries which seem to go very quickley and there is no 1080 alternative for recording (it can playback 1080i tapes i believe). Anyway this camera is a little pricyer but well worth it!!
