Its has good quality pictures on the lcd screen, but when it comes down to it, the quality of playback onto any screen larger than 5 square inches really is rubbish. so i reckon although this product looks good, it really is a waste of time if you plan to play it back on a screen other than the built-in lcd. but then again the sound quality is great, even if you don't mind the fact that it is normally several seconds ahead or behind the image. i have also dropped this product on the ground several times on concrete and it is yet to make an impact on this product. the instructions are understandable but just barely unless you are a techie. although not pperfect, this is one of JVC's best portable products of all varieties! (yes all!) it is really easy to use if you are used to JVC's way of managing products. i would not recommend this to many people, but be warey! this product is definately not for the faint-hearted!
