Advantages: clear sound, retractable cord Disadvantages: a bit too heavy
them.
HOW THEY FEEL
The mass of the headphones is 33g without the cord that is 1.17oz. When you wear them you are always aware of the headphones. This is probably the biggest DOWNSIDE of this design.
The actual ear hook of the headphones is BRILLIANT though. The ear pad is rubbery and very soft and doesn't cause any inconvenience to your ears. When you put the headphones you can adjust how tight you want them which is really good
HOW DO THEY CONNECT TO YOUR PORTABLE AUDIO
The plug is gold plated, and has a little flexible bit connecting it to the cord (to prevent cord from folding and breaking), which is a big plus, because my last pair broke in that exact spot.
The length of the cord is 0 to 1 m, which is a very reasonable length; longer cord will get tangled horribly.
Even at this length I have to spend a couple minute ...

Advantages: High quality lasting design Disadvantages: Sound may distort if you have no bass or treble options
I don't know about you, but I frequently buy a portable musical device only to find that with the supplied headphones it never achieves a level I'm happy with. Its as if they are trying to protect our ears. My LG mobile phones enclosed headphones first seemed fine, but then I soon realised when wearing them out and about I could hear almost every noise outside of my music zone.
That was when I purchased these JVC headphones, the packaging offered dynamic phones. Better still they are inner ear headphones meaning I don't end up looking like I'm auditioning to be the next Doctor Who bad guy. The headphones come with a pretty solid plastic case which you can wind them back into when your not using them. Me being a slacker though I never tend to do that and just stuff the headphones in my coat pocket. The upside to this is that normal ...

Advantages: Can play burnt dvds (floating laser system), very slim, quite reliable Disadvantages: has a tendency to stop playing smoothly halfway through a dvd sometimes
This dvd player cost me about 140 Aussie dollars. It is a fairly basic dvd playback model but has all the features you need including zooming, sound equalizers presets, subtitles, menu navigation, resume play after switching off, etc... it is quite a good player. It is very slim and will fit in any standard cabinet easily.
It hasn't become defective or broken since i bought it about 2 years ago! JVC is a well known brand with a good reputation and it is covered under a warranty! The price was the biggest factor when i was looing for a dvd player - no doubt the price has dropped since my purchase but even then it was one of the cheaper models
The only problem i have experienced with it is a strange freezing halfway through movies sometimes though not that often it can be quite annoying - perhaps the disks get scratched by the player ...
