If you've read some of my reviews you should realize by now I love classical music. There's nothing I like better than to hear my music loud and strong. Unfortunately I live in a flat surrounded by elderly ladies who have all taken to their beds by 8pm. The answer- I put on my headphones and stay up till about 2am.

I didn't want to spend a fortune when I looked around for my choice. At the same time I didn't want to buy something that would result in me thinking I was inside a baked bean tin. I opted for some reasonably priced headphones with a good brand name. There were quite a few on offer and I was quite surprised. The great pity is that they are always in a sealed pack which means you have no idea how comfortable they are and that is one of the key features.

I have the large corded JVC HA-G101 headphones, I call them standard size, with the large padded "muffs". These fit comfortably over the ears and do not slip about. The padding is a very soft sort of spongey leathery plastic, very comfortable on the ears. The lead is quite long - over 10feet - and it has the smaller 3.5mm jack plug.

The headband is adjustable on both sides, it will accommodate the largest of heads. (No I was not speaking of my own head thank you). It is made of a rigid plastic strip, the adjusters click into place like a ratchet. It is a snug fit and comfortable to wear.

All my music is stored on my laptop, and I sit in a comfortable chair laid back and listen. Considering I am not listening on an expensive hi-fi system I am more than impressed with the sound reproduction. It has amazing clarity and best of all I disturb nobody.

I can of course plug the headphones into the TV if I want to watch a late night movie.

All in all, I think these are remarkably durable, comfortable and extremely satisfying in sound reproduction.

The amazing point is that these cost just £9.99.

I hate to have to rate this as "not helpful" but you could have included a picture with your review. All headphones are different and I had to Google "JVC HAG101" just to see them. You are a blue member level so you are allowed to include picrtures with your reviews. If you change the review and add pictures I'll be happy to re-rate.
