Ive been looking for a decent divx player for sometime and have tried a couple including Philips but returned with disapointing results. Ive had my eye on this player for sometime, but has been very expensive in the past, but its now for sale in Bennets for a snip under 50 quid http://www.bennettsonline.co.uk/entertainment/dvd-&-video/dvd-players/jvc-xvnp10s-04445036 It plays dvd formats great (with great picture and audio quality), it has a very fast dvd start, plays dvd-r with no effort, and of course for all you internet savvy people you can play divx films effortlessly, meaning fitting up to four full films on one dvd. The card reader is a great add on as well, just slip it in and away it goes. Ive found that using the player is a cinch, the onscreen menu is simple yet effective, the display is nice with a blue glow across the front, which can be disabled if required, the remote glows in the dark and can also be programmed to control your tv as well through entering a code. With all the usual extras you would expect from a dvd player and the quality you expect from JVC and the price at Bennetts you really cant go wrong with this, and lets face it with todays computer technology who needs a multi region player anyway!
