Advantages: super value machine. Disadvantages: None yet.
about shelling out on a new product.
However all that changed when I went into the supermarket in Pontivy and found a "promo". A promo is when they have things on special offer. They are a little like mini sales, and there was a DVD player at £35 or 49 Euros and I could not believe it. I had to go away and think about it, but I went back, knowing that they were disappearing fast.
I discussed the pros and cons with my husband who is a complete technophobic, and we could not fault it enough to put me off buying it. It was a JVC which is a known make, it was cheap, and it had a year's guarantee, and we are avid film watchers.
It confused me the formats that you can play on the machine. It plays DVD and CD which are straightforward, either films or music, it plays DVD-RW and I was not sure what this was, whilst this became apparent ...

Advantages: The Weight, Look everything. Disadvantages: none
----Introduction + basics ----
Nowadays DVD players are so cheap and so highstore retailers like Currys or Dixons are taking the old VHS players of the shelves and putting better DVD players on. JVC are a company that are cheap and cheerful and this DVD player is no different. We bought the DVD player for £35 about one year ago (and that was cheap then) and now there has been apsaloutly no problem. The DVD player is very nice looking and is slimline (which means it is just about 2 inches in height.
----The Features That It Has Got----
The DVD player has numerous features but one thing I would like on it is a recorder....
It has:
o MP3 Playback - If you download music of the internet (legally I hope) or if you upload songs from a CD and convert them to MP3 then you can fit about 100 mp3's on a Software CD and play them back ...

Advantages: Excellent picture quality, zoom and other functions, good sound output Disadvantages: Non. If it recorded it would be the best ever..
With the surge in popularity of DVD recorders, it is very hard to notice the humble DVD player nowadays and it comes quite low on the list of 'must-haves'. However, if you are in the market for a good DVD player that is packed with features, the JVCXV-N55SL would be worthy of consideration.
We have had ours a couple of years now, but last year it got relegated to the dining room when we purchased our DVD recorder. It is hooked up to a portable TV we have in there but it does not really do justice to the JVC in all fairness. But that's the way things go. If we had room in our lounge under our TV on top of the DVD recorder it would still be there, because it is by far the better player of DVDs.
When we got the JVC home as a Christmas present to both of us (from both of us) a couple of Christmases ago, we were amazed how light ...
