NEW YEARS DAY... I had my news years resolve and was determined to make a go of it. I took it out of the box and found that it was quite heavy and well made. No flimsy parts here and with good clear instructions I was away.
At first I thought it was broken and ... ...it moving. It was that quiet I could not hear the powerful motor running. I started with something easy that was to hand. Apples. It juiced them in seconds and boy was there some juice. There also was very little waste.... I was now hooked.. when will the greengrocers be open to buy a legion of food.

I started with something easy that was to hand. Apples. It juiced them in seconds and boy was there some juice. There also was very little waste.... Over the next few days I tried everything carrots, oranges, watermelon, beetroot, grapes, banana and literally the whole of the local fruit and veg man.
It is a fast and efficient machine that is also easy to clean. It works out cheaper if you buy your fruit and veg in bulk rather than buying most carton juices. But you have the satisfaction knowing how freash you made it.
The downside is how bulky it is. If you have a small kitchen then you will need somewhere to store it. I now use mine everyday but have room in the garage for it.
In conclusion I have never felt better and It helps towards my 5 a day.

I purchased this machine last year. Yes this is the daddy of juice extractors the rolls royce as such quite quick and effective. It cost me over £100, the infomercials it seems great and you do get great juice , but the tvs lie.
1. Not all juice combinations are nice, I really do not recommend cucumber or melon.
2. It can go in the dishwasher, but the bits are so small everything comes out in a film of fine pulp and the seive part does not wash ... ...do, whatever you do, wash it up within a few hours of using it, if you laeve th efruit pulp to dry on it is like a for of superglued concrete.
3. It is actually quite quiet.
4. The advert shows the pulp coing out is dry---dream on, but this is better than other models I have used but not as dry and as juice free as the infomecial implies.
5. You really have to be a smoothy/juice adict to gtet the best value out of this, you can buy a lot of smoothies ...

Advantages: Fantastic fresh juice Disadvantages: Loads of fiddly bits to wash!
I bought this about a year ago via QVC thinking its a great way for my hubby to get healthy! I paid around £110.00 at that time it was the latest model. It looks great, although it is rather bulky and takes up much needed workspace.
As for ease of use, yeah its certainly easy, certain fruits such as apples and pears can be put in whole. It has nut dispenser, great for cherries and nuts.
There is a lot of wastage, although pulp can be saved and ... ...recipe book full of yummy juices and suggestions for the pulp.
The juice tastes amazing, and there is nothing better than freshly squeezed juice. We do use it quite a bit so all in all a good purchase.
The only down side is, there are so many bits to remove and clean! ...

OH WOW! get your favouite fruits and juice to your hearts content! I own the original power juicer not the new 'elite' version. It is whisper quiet and the blade does it's job soooo well, the juice comes out and unlike other juicers which leave horrible little bits and sediment it produces a luxurious smoothe fresh pure juice. Experiment to find what flavours go together, the benefits are 1. A good start to a more healthy diet. 2. The juice extracted ... ...about additives, preservatives, E numbers or hidden sugars. The down side of this product is the cleaning of it, the advert leads the consumer to believe that most of the pulp is collected in the pulp receptical, this is misleading, open it all up as the inside will contain a slushy mess damp fruit pulp, the advert gives the impression that all you have to do is run it under the tap. ...am very happy. The Jack La Lanne Power Juicer surpassed my expectation for juicers. The performance is great and the pulp goes into my mulch pile. It is quite easy to use and assemble and disasemble for cleaning. Cleaning the machine is easy. Water doesn't get into the motor compartment and the parts are very easily cleanable and food doesn't get stuck in it. It is quite durable and well built. ive had this for about 2 years and ive only probably used it 5 times but if you say you buy alot of fruits and veg and enjoy them i think this would be a good buy it can do so many things like use whole fruit's use soft and hard fruits and even vegetables. it has a pulp collector which is sufficient enough for about 10 pieces of fruit and veg. i paid 100 pound for this and ive think it is worth that price but the only 2 problem is the cleaning it ...

I'm writing this here because this particular model only comes up in the shopping section and you can't write a review there for some reason.
The PowerJuicer Express is the 'slimline' version of the original JackLaLannepowerjuicer but is supposed to have the same effectiveness. This is my first juicer and juice itself is gorgeous.
Learning curve - after two weeks and half a dozen attempts at juicing, I really feel I have the hang of it. Despite what it says on the JLL website, it really doesn't handle whole fruit such as apples and pears. Now I chop each into about three or four pieces and these push through without jamming the motor. Oranges and other citrus fruit you have to slice off the skin, leaving the pith, and whoosh, out comes this luscious fresh juice. Pear is fabulous, on it's own or with apple, as is ...

JackLaLanne?sPowerJuicer I have to say has really made a difference within our family, with me and two young children who dislike fruit and vegetables this has been a great way to get us taking all those natural ingredients, vital vitamins and that 5 a day thing that the government keep going on about. The battle is won when the children get to pick and choose what they want to put in the juicer, which half the battle this way they take ownership rather than you trying to tell them that it is good for them, as they put the fruit or vegetables in and push down on the plunger the juice comes out before their vary eyes and I mean there is loads of it and very little in the pulp, in fact it is almost bone dry and the pulp can be used to make very tasty muffins, try it.
