Ok so I am not perfect and I did say I was not going to get a lot of Christmas Shopping but over the last couple of days, I have spent another £200 on last min things. One of them were from Iceland and it is the Original Twiglets Flavour.
The Packaging ============ Round cardboard tub with a red pull up lid. The container is predominantly blue with the Jacobs logo in the top left hand corner.
It has pictures of Twiglets that are actual sized and has the Twiglets logo on in white on a red background.
On the sides are the nutritional values and ingredients. Together with customer service details.
This carton is the 200g one. When you pull the lid up there is a metal foiled cover and you just pull the tag and your away to munching all night.
The Product ========== As I said before this flavour is the original one which is by far the best and I am aware they also do a curry flavoured one which is ok but you cannot beat the original.
Before taking the metal foil off a quick sniff does not give anything like smell or what is the contents away.
Once you pull the seal back you can smell the yeast flavouring and this is not unpleasant but by now I am chomping away on these and forget my opinion, ang on all me hands are sticky now will have to go and wash them, just one more first, lol.
Each still is like 2 inches long and the best way to describe them is as either small twigs or oblong pieces with bobbles on. They are medium brown in colour and have a yeast flavouring on, rather like marmite which is represented by the brown staining on each Twiglet, this is the best way I can explain it to you.
When you taste them, they are very crunchy and a lovely snack to have in. They leave like a spicy hot aftertaste in your mouth which is probably why most people cannot eat too many of them.
They are baked rather like pringles are to lower the fat content but they are still high in calories, they are also high in dietary fibre to keep everything regular as clockwork.
Nutritional Value ============ They are suitable for vegetarians.
per 100g Carbs 57.3g Energy 384 kcal Protein 12.3g Sats 6.1g Dietary Fibre 11.3g Sodium 1.1g
Where Can I get them from? ====================== Well it is Christmas and most supermarkets and stores will have these in. You can buy them in a variety of flavours and sizes starting from 49p.
This 200g cost me £1.49 from Iceland and it was on Buy one Get one Free. So I did, How could I refuse?
I have bought these today and they have a 6 months shelf life on them, funny eh, they will be lucky to last 6 hours in our house!
Would I recommend them? ===================== Yes it is Christmas time and whilst not been very diet friendly, who cares, no diet now for two weeks and then back on it. PS I love these and eat these all year round but only seem to find the tubs around Christmas Time.
Of course you can buy cheaper brands but this is certainly one product that you pay for what you get.
Customer Services =============== WWW.danonegroup.com - not a very good site could not find anything to do with Twiglets only volvic water.

Ugh these are the most vile things I have ever put in my mouth, I love marmite, but not these, don't think i will ever try the other flavour, nice review though, Happy new year, Heatherx
Advantages: Low in calories and fat (for a snack anyway!), very tasty, each bite is unique. Disadvantages: Some of them are over flavoured and some are under flavoured.
