A review of a 150g packet of _Jacob's Tuc Cheese Sandwich_ biscuits.
These are one of my, non-chocolate based, favourite snacks. The only trouble with them is that they are a little to moreish for my own good. The packet says _TUC IN_ and I don't need telling twice! So, I thought I would share my enthusiasm for this product with you.

Packaging
I wont say too much about this as the picture provided is accurate. On the side of the 'plastic' packet is a tag with an arrow and the words OPEN HERE above it. I must say the packet is very easy to open and you get to the biscuits straight away. The top biscuit, pictured on the packet, has the word TUC written in dots across it. The biscuits inside do not have this.
Wheat Flour, Vegetable Oil, Glucose Syrup, Dried Whey, Dried Powdered Cheese (5%), Dried Egg, Colour (Annatto), Flavourings. A full list is on the side of the packet.
My Experience/Opinion
These packs contain eleven octagonal (irregular for you mathematicians) shaped biscuits and they measure 6cm x 4.5cm x 1cm. The cheesy filling, sandwiched between the two crackers, is 4cm x 3cm. On opening the packet there is a faint smell of cheese. I'm not sure if it was this or the rustling sound which attracted my son into the room, but I only have ten biscuits left now! The crackers are crunchy, without being hard, and quite dry. The cheesy filling is very soft, not like the filling you get in custard creams. It is so soft that you could spread it over the rest of the cracker with a knife. I don't know why anyone would want to do that, but I thought you may be interested in that fact. With the crackers being so dry I don't recommend that you eat one, then scrape the cheese off with your teeth and swallow, and then eat the other cracker. It is best to take bites so that you get the mixture of flavours and the moistness (is that a word?) of the filling. I know some people who put the whole cracker in their mouth at once, mind you, they do have big mouths! The crackers are quite crumbly though so it does cut down on crumbs.
The Taste
The crackers are very mildly savoury, but don't have a lot of taste. As far as I'm concerned it is the smooth, soft, cheesy filling that is important. The destinctive taste is delicious, in moderation. I would imagine that if you ate a tub full of it in one go it would be quite sickly. However, the amount in each biscuit is just enough to satisfy the taste buds. It is this cheese that makes the biscuits moreish and I think it smells stronger than it tastes. It is also the cheese taste that lingers at the back of your throat for a while afterwards.
Would I recommend them?
Yes, they are not too salty or sweet and are different from other snacks. I don't find that one biscuit is filling enough though, so I usually have two, ok. three, at a time. At 72 kcal a biscuit that is probably not a good idea though, if you are watching your weight. I'm watching mine .... go up too much!
-Price_
I bought my 150g packet at Morrisons today for £1.09. I would imagine that other Supermarkets also sell them. I think that is quite good value for money.
Thank you for reading this. In the interest of testing the product I seem to have consumed half a packet while typing this, oh dear! I did want the product to be fresh in my mind rather than my stomach!
...named 'PIG'gypine, this time on Jacobs Tuc Cheese Sandwiches. Jacobs have been producing crackers of different sorts for over a century and currently have 20 different styles of crackers available. Tuc cheese sandwiches come in a bright yellowy orange packet weighing in at 150 grams, with approximately 14 of the cheese sandwiches per pack they are perfect for sharing or even better for hiding at the back of the cupboard and sneaking out when no one's ... ...out of the pack in one piece, attempting to squeeze them out in the style of a normal biscuit can often result in a broken cracker or a complete split in the sandwiches layers. Still a little perseverance sees a tasty little morsel in hand and ready to eat. Now I'm not going to pretend these will be suitable for everybody, they are very salty despite each sandwich only having "trace" levels of sodium, there is also 4.3 grams of fat and 72 calories ...

...the difference was to a Jacobs Tuc Cheese cracker and as Jacobs TUC cheese sandwich crackers were on offer at 2 for £1 (150g pack) I seized the opportunity.
There are obvious differences. Firstly, TUC cheese sandwich crackers are a 6.5cm by 4.5cm oblong shaped biscuits as opposed to the round RITZ ones, though they are also indented with lots of little holes on the surface. They are quite greasy to touch and there aer little bits of salt on the ... ...delicate, held together by a smooth creamy cheese filling. The filling is thicker than that of a RITZ. On taking a cheese cracker biscuit out, I can immediately smell the processed cheesy smell like dairylea but a bit stronger. There's also a smoky smell to the cheese as well which reflects the taste.
The crackers can actually be separated from the filling, leaving one half spread with the cheese paste and one half without. Sampling a plain cracker, ...
