Advantages: Very true to life Disadvantages: None..
...When i read this book, it helped me to understand how it would feel to be a child, whose parent suffers with a mental illness. I thankfully didn't have this problem as a child but because of the way Jacqueline Wilson has written then story, it gets you onto the same wavelength as the young girl Dolphin, and you can begin to understand the situation. I first read this book quite a while ago but i've read it again and again, because i enjoyed it so much! I personally think it's one of Jacqueline Wilson's best books because of the way she's written it, and it's almost as if she is the child. I would recommend this book to anyone as it's an excellent read from a well known and outstanding author!...

...Jacqueline Wilson is one of my favourite authors and this book (Double Act) is one of her best.
The two twins (Ruby and Garnet)lose their mother at a young age and the story tells you how they go through life writing things in their account book along the way.
Ruby and Garnet have slightly different personalities which combines very well with the whole story.
The drawings are fantastic and the story is so good that it is hard to put it down.
This is a gripping story for readers of any age and I would reccommend absolutley anyone to buy it....

...Sleepovers is a really good book written by Jacqueline Wilson for young girls from the ages of 9-14. It is about a young girl called Daisy who you can feel involved with, she makes friends through sleepovers and birthday parties. It is a typical group of girls including the bossy, shy, fat and mean one which will make you involved as you understand what it can be like. This makes it really funny and will get you wanting more! I read it when i was younger and i really enjoyed it! I think you will too!
However the hardback version can be expensive so i would reccomend the soft back. This book is good for young children as Jaqueline Wilson uses simple, easy to read words. Pictures and big text also comes in handy....
