I cant help but feel that with the natural racing ability that Jacques Villeneuve has, with a Honda engine in a heavily financed team and with a team mate who will definately be able to push him to the limits that he will be back at the very pinnacle of Formula One at some stage during his career.
It may not be this year, in fact it almost certainly wont be this year but Honda have got a little more than a reputation in Formula One, anyone remember the domination of McLaren HONDA! They will produce a world class engine, of that there is little doubt and I firmly believe Jacques is still one of the best drivers out there. Since winning the World Championship he has been demoralised to the extreme but give him a hint of a chance and he will be there. He has shown moments of brilliance in the past few years demonstrating that ability.He won the championship so early on in his Formula One career and although it was in a dominant Williams it has to stand for something. Some people may believe it was a fluke but to win an Indy championship and a Formula One Championship makes him a member of a very elite group and Jacques is a fighter. Oh boy is Jacques a fighter and he wants another championship or he wouldnt still be in Formula One.
He has put up with a lot during his time at BAR but could that faith and trust in the team and Craig Pollock be just about to reap some reward. Who wants to see Jacques back on the podium, me for one!Read my other opinions on Formula One and many other topics.
