I like this website because it does have information that I've not seen elsewhere that is useful for writers, especially the section on markets for non-fiction articles.
However, the listings for novel markets have not been updated for at least a couple of years and are certainly out of date.Overall, it great to check out the news of new writing opportunities - this seems to be updated every month - but be wary of some of the older information about publishers etc on the website. There are listings of writing competitions for short stories and poetry which seem to all still be active, but certainly double-check elsewhere before wasting postage on anything.
It is easy to find your way around on this website and its a good site to check once a month for new information, but I would advise using it as a first source of info, not the be all and end all.The website address is www.jbwb.co.uk
