James Pattersons

The Man Himself James Patterson was born in March 1947 in New York. In 1996 he retired from advertising and became a full-time writer. His first book was entitled The Thomas Berryman Number and James Patterson struggled to get it published. He was turned down by more than twenty publishers before finally getting a bite. Following his first book he went on to write another 5 books before producing his first book in the infamous Alex Cross Series, Along Came a Spider.
